It advised United Utilities on the procurement of an extension and improvement to its existing regional sewage sludge processing and incineration facility at Shell Green in Cheshire, England. It is also advising one of the largest water treatment companies in the world and a blue-chip conglomerate in Hong Kong on a foreign direct investment in a water treatment plant in Chongqing, China.

- The company is very active on the regulatory side. Its lawyers are active members of water sector regulatory groups in the UK, India and Romania.
- Pinsent Masons worked on about fifteen deals in 2007. It is one of the few firms to have been active not only in Europe and the Middle East, but also in the Far East (Pakistan, India and China).
