Power Seraya, Singapore
Desalination Plant of the Year
What is it?
A 10,000m3/d seawater desalination plant, co-located at the 3100 MW Pulau Seraya Power Station in Singapore.
Who is responsible?
CH2M Hill designed and built the plant using GrahamTek/Hydranautics 16-inch diameter membrane systems.
Why is it shortlisted?
- Power Seraya marks the first time that 16-inch diameter membranes have been used on a large scale. This is arguably the most important technical advance achieved during 2007.
- The project required an aggressive fast-track schedule of 18 months, from contract signing to plant handover.
